A Gift from the Sons of the Revolution

On Friday, June 13, 2014, the Sons of the Revolution in the Commonwealth of Virginia presented a check for $2,000 to the John Marshall Foundation to support  the civics education programs that the Foundation conducts with middle and high school students. Over the past several years, the Foundation has reached 60,000 students and 700 teachers in 24 schools to teach about judiciary, the rule of law in our republic, the Constitution, and life and legacy of the Great Chief Justice, John Marshall.

 

The current Officers of the Board of Managers of the Sons of the Revolution in the Commonwealth of Virginia include: President, William W. Tunner, Esq., Carter V. Reid, First Vice President, Douglas Payne, Jr., Second Vice President, Emmett M. Avery, IV, Secretary, L. Brooks Zerkel, Jr., Treasurer, Casper L. Sigmon, II, Registrar, Beverly S. Mauck, Jr., Membership Chairman, Rev. Randolph M. Hollerith, Chaplain to the Society, Frank M. Galleher, III, Captain of the Color Guard, and Guy Tripp, Scholarship Committee Chairman.
