The latest news from the John Marshall Foundation

Message from the President

January 7, 2016 by Caroline Smith Parkinson

The last few months have been very busy for the John Marshall Foundation! Executive Director David King, his staff and our hard-working board have made tremendous progress in strengthening the Foundation’s support, sustaining its mission, and positioning its educational and historic preservation programs for expansion and growth. This newsletter serves as testament to those good efforts; I hope you enjoy catching up and will consider joining us through financial support or by attending an upcoming event. Of note is an event we are co-sponsoring with the U.S. Supreme Court Historical Society in Washington DC, March 9, 2016, which will mark the 215th anniversary of Marshall’s taking of the oath as Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Noted journalist and president of the National Constitution Center, Jeff Rosen, will give the keynote address. Please watch our website for more information. This is just one of many upcoming public awareness opportunities designed for a wider audience, helping us broaden our efforts to preserve and promote the legacy of the Great Chief Justice and his passion for the rule of law. It is my honor to serve and lead such a commitment.
